The double opt-in process is an additional step to get a prior consent from a new subscriber by verifying his/her email address.
To get started, follow these steps:
- Click Tools
- Click Site Visitor Signup Box
- Select the form you wish to change and then press “Edit Form” at the top.
- Check the Double Opt-in Enabled checkbox near the bottom. This will prompt a pop-up that will ask you to save the signup form. Save the form.
- Use the drop-down to select a form to edit. Each of these messages will serve a different purpose, which is described in the next step. After selecting a message you would like to edit from the drop-down, click the "Edit" button to open a new tab with the intended editor.
- Customize the specified email message/landing page. Each of these messages/landing pages will have a template already designed to give you something to work from. Since each of these messages/landing pages reflect a different scenario, they are all important in the process for creating your double opt-in experience. Below, you'll find each possible response in the opt-in process and what the intended purpose is.
